Dear Tony and the Beachbody crew,
Let me start by thanking you for saving my life.
Last January I lost my job, had surgery, and put on another 20 pounds. I was at my wit's end. I continued to downward-spiral for the next eight months in a vicious cycle of depression, eating, hating myself even more, and eating again. I was out of control.
Late one sleepless night in August, I was flipping through the infomercials and I spotted your Power 90 program. Now I can't say I never purchased anything from TV beforein fact, in my family, I am pretty infamous for buying anything and everything from TV. We will not even begin to speak of the numerous diet schemes and fads I have purchased via television, the Internet, and from my local retailers.
Honestly, I assumed your product was just another dust catcher for my spare bedroom. But as I said, I was at my wit's end. My 27th birthday was coming up in November and my mother had offered to send me to Weight Watchers as a present. I had already been to WW and had failed miserably more than once. That only added to the depression and anxiety I was feeling that August night as I sat and cried over the Success Stories on your program. So with my hopes up once again, I picked up the phone and called. I didn't have a lot of faith but I was desperate.
I received your program in early September, but I still wasn't ready to commit. So I fought with myself a little longer and on September 24, 2003, I finally took the plunge. My poor long-suffering husband took my day 1 photos, and I got out the calendar, marked off the days, and took a giant leap of faith.
The videos were difficultI couldn't do it all. I could barely stay standing till the end, but I pushed through and kept pushing through. Week 3 was the hardest for me, but I just kept doing it and on day 30 it started to pay off. I got my day 30 photos back, and although they were not dramatic, they WERE different and that was just the little bit of encouragement I needed to KEEP PUSHING PLAY! !
Sixty days was even better; those results were DRAMATIC. Ninety days was the best. December 23, 2003 will go down as one of the top 10 days of my life. I didn't believe my own photos. When I put them side by side with the day 1 pictures, it didn't even look like the same person. I am so happy. I feel so fantastic both physically and mentally. I sleep better, I look better, I have more energy, and most importantly, I have changed my life! I am one of those people who loves to exercise now. I don't sit on the couch and watch infomercials anymoreI am out enjoying life.
I have now progressed to the Power Half Hour series, but I still go back and do my Level 3-4 tapes for variety. The best part is, I got a new job and I have been an inspiration to the women I work with. They called me "the skinny girl" when I started, and no one was interested in hearing my diet and exercise tips. They just ASSUMED that I had always looked this way. So I finally got up the nerve to bring in my photos, and they were all wowed! Now seven of them have purchased the program and they are as excited as I am. I am a living testament to the power of Power 90. My husband says I am a walking, talking advertisement. It is fabulous!
I can't thank you enough for what your program has done for me. It empowered me to change my own life and for that I am eternally grateful. I hope I can continue to inspire others, and I hope you can use my pictures to do just that!
UPDATE: I am now using the Yoga Booty Ballet program in addition to Power 90. It is really an awesome and exciting program! It is totally different from anything else in the Beachbody collection. Gillian and Teigh are wonderful! I had the opportunity to meet them last month in Miami, and it was one of the best experiences ever! We got to meet them, hang out, and work out at the Miami Fitness Festival. YBB is the program for anyone who wants that long, lean, sculpted yoga body. It is fun and has enough variety to keep you interested and excited. Keep Pushing Play!
