I will be honest with you. If you are very out of shape, overweight or no longer in your 20’s, this so-called “Intro” DVD will be tough. After doing it around 3 to 5 times, I am pretty sure that many people that “completed” the 60 day Insanity challenge probably were doing 30-50 percent of the workouts, pressing pause (a no-no) and watching for their first few workouts… but kept going on to the NEXT DVD.
I am glad I started here. It’s pretty humbling. When I start Insanity I’d like to be able to AT LEAST do 85% of the workouts of Month 1. In fact, this DVD really should be part of Insanity. Many people purchase the product and quit after a few tries complaining that it’s “too hard.”
It really gives you a chance to focus on your form. Shaun T. actually wants you to stop and take a break once your form starts to become compromised due to fatigue. This DVD allows you to focus on your form before starting the full program. It wasn’t until my third or fourth try that I was able to even feel my abs every time I heard Shaun T. say, “…use your core” or “…focus on your abs.”
You’re supposed to use this DVD for about 5 days before starting Insanity. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself spending 10 days or more on the workout.
It’s tough, but highly recommended.

This is the best thing to do first before starting the challenge. It does no lie when it says that you get stronger everyday.
