Back around Thanksgiving of 2003, I realized that I needed to do something about my weight, but I didn't take action. In January of 2004, while I was out with a friend, we decided to weigh ourselves on one of those scales in the mall that give your fortune with your weight. I was over 230 pounds! That's when I decided I had to do something.
I tried to work out at home to different programs I saw in magazines, but I just couldn't get into it. I would do a workout maybe once a week. Then one night I saw an infomercial for Slim in 6. It looked interesting and fun, and the Success Stories were incredible. I was skeptical at first, thinking that the "after" photos were computer generated, so I decided to check out the Web site. There were so many different programs, I didn't know which one to choose first, but I think I made the best decision of my life when I ordered Slim in 6.
I received my Slim in 6 package in March 2004 and started the program at 232 pounds, the most I have ever weighed. I didn't even weigh that much when I was pregnant! I prayed that this would be just what I needed to get the weight off. I was consistent and very strict with myself through my 6 weeks. I even became addicted to the program and did two more rounds of the full 6 weeks! I lost 12 pounds and 15 inches with my first round, another 12 pounds and 9.5 inches with round 2, and still another 13 pounds and 9 inches with round 3.
After Slim in 6 I bought Power 90. It was also a great workout, and Tony made it interesting with his sense of humor. I lost 7 pounds and 8 inches with Power 90. I won two $50.00 gift certificates by logging into WOWY, and bought Yoga Booty Ballet and P90X. I did about 6 weeks of Yoga Booty Ballet and got some great tone. I didn't lose any weight or inches, but I looked leaner and stood taller. My next move was P90X. I completed the program to lose yet another 8 pounds and 18 inches!
I am now at 186 pounds. I have lost 46 pounds and 39.5 inches, and have gone from 40% to 28% body fat in just a little over a year. Beachbody has really helped me put into perspective what I should and shouldn't eat, and how important it is to do some form of exercise each day. I owe everything to Beachbody and its programs and to the Message Boards, my one source of motivation and support. I could not have done this without any of it. Thank you, Beachbody!
