2003 Hawaii Trip

Before Power 90, I weighed 165 pounds and could barely squeeze into my size-12 jeans. I was depressed with my bloated 5' 9" frame. As a 35-year-old wife, and mother of twins, I knew I had to change. But how? Dieting alone had failed. I needed exercise, and guidance.

My husband saw the infomercial and ordered Power 90 for me. I began with the recommended Fast Start program in April, 2003. Starving myself was tough! But it helped prepare me for the rigors of Tony Horton's 90-day "in-home boot camp". I set three goals: (1) lose 35-40 pounds, (2) get my body-fat below 15% (from 32%), and (3) fit into my old size-4 jeans.

The Day one level 1-2 cardio session revealed just how out-of-shape I'd become: I was panting by the end of Power Yoga. But I felt good after that first workout, and with each day I was more motivated to "push play". By Day 12 I'd switched to level 3-4 on Cardio and Circuit, and by Day 30 I could already see results. I'd dropped 15 pounds, 1.5 dress sizes, and 11 inches of ugly fat. I was on a roll!

Days 31-60 brought even more dramatic changes. By Day 40 I felt comfortable in a bikini, and by Day 60 I'd shed 30 pounds, 3 dress sizes, and 14% of my body fat! My fellow "P90-ers" encouraged me daily via the chat/message forums, and the Beachbody fitness advisors provided great feedback. Following Michi's Ladder kept me focused on healthy eating habits.

Further toning and trimming marked the last 30 days. I now wear a size-3/4, and feel fantastic! Here are my vital statistics, Day 1 vs. Day 90:
